My best 5k is 29.27.  

Short-Term Running Goals:

Beat my best 5k time.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to stay fit. I have 6 kids and I want to be physically able to keep up with them. I would eventually like to run some longer races and maybe do a triathalon.

Personal:

I am very happily married, We have 6 children. 4 girls and then we adopted two boy's. They are 17mths, 4,4,4,7 and 11.

I thought I was going to run later at the track so I only ran 1.5 miles.  Then I worked my arms over and rode the bike.

Back has been bothering be to the point where it hurts to take a deep breath,  so I did the elliptical on a high incline, worked my legs and then I rode the bike.

 

I am going to go run the track with the hubby later, The treadmill seems to be harder on my body. 

Ran 2 miles at the track. felt really good. I was suprised after already going once.

A slow 39 minutes.  I am still trying to get over this cold I have. My chest kept getting tight to the point where I was having a hard time breathing.  I sound like I have asthma. I don't think the air is helping any.

I had to walk one lap for about every 3 I ran.

I didn't run today because my leg was pretty sore but I might go later with Matt.  I did the elliptical on an incline and lifted weights and then I rode the bike.

Started out with shin splints and a sore knee but it kind of worked it's self out. I was still really stiff today also.

I worked my abs and then I rode the bike for 20 minutes, I did turn up the level way higher today.

I don't know how but I forgot my garmin today and when I got to the track I forgot to look at the clock. I know I was not there for even an hour, so I guess I had a pretty good run. I felt really slugish today.

I have been going crazy because all my kids are taking turns being sick and I have had to stay home with them, and my husband has been getting home late.  He dose want o run tonight, so I guess I will make up for lost days. 

I had a really good running day today!  I seem to do better on the treadmill for some reason.  I ran 3.10 miles in 31.00 minutes and then I slowed down.

I worked my abs and legs, then I rode the bike for 16 minutes. 

I went and ran the track with my husband tonight.........I shocked myself beause I was able to run 2 miles with out any walking. I was so tired and did not want to go again, but I got a second wind or something. I did one arm machine also.

I am pretty sure I will be sorry tomorrw.

2.60 elliptical. 35 minutes

1.40 stair stepper 20 minutes

5.90 bike  35 minutes, I did the cross training option and it kicked my butt.

I lifted a few leg weights and worked my abs.

My husband was home with my boy's so I had some extra time, it was nice not to worrie about time.

I did not run on the treadmill, because my husband wants me to go run the track tonight, we will see if I can move by then.

My goal today was to run for 1 hr without stopping!  And I did it Yeah.    I ran 5.50 miles in 61 minutes with .5 incline and then I walked the last half mile with 1.50 incline, with 2 pound weights in my hands and finished at 72 minutes.

My knee is acting really scary today so I thought I better not even try running. It pops right in the middle when I bend it.I can feel something in there when I put my hand on it. 

So I did the elliptical on a incline of 7 for 35 minutes, 3 miles and then I worked my abds and did a few leg weights,  Then I rode the bike for 15 minutes another 3 miles.

I should probley call these threshold miles or vo2 max miles, because they were not easy for me. I had to mentally talk myself in to even gettin gon the treadmill today. My baby is sick and It has just been an exhausting week so far.

So I ran 6 miles in 63.30 which is a pr in distance and time for me. I have found that if I turn the treadmill up after about a mile and run as fast as I can my legs go numb and then I can slow down, so I do this fo rmy whole run I ran anywhere from 5 to 7 I kept it on an incline of .5

Then I walked a slow.25 mile to cool down.    I am so proud of myself but to tired to really care right now.

I have a horriable cold again!  And my knee is sore, so I did not run today.  I did the elliptical for 45 minutes, a few weights and then I rode the bike for 45 minutes.

I am having knee issues. I could not even get comfprtable last night in bed because my knee hurt no matter how I had it. 

I did some streches and some light excercises at my house and then I went to the gym and did the elliptical at a high incline for 62 minutes.   Then I work my abs and  my inner thighs.

I had my knee looked at today and she thinks that I need to go back to an ortho,  I ran a mile very slow and then I walked one on a high incline.  The incline felt way better on the knee than the flat incline.

Then I rode the bike, started out painful but worked it's self out after about 5 minutes. I did take 400 ml of ibprophen before I left so I am sure that helped.

I woke up so stiff today.  I really had to push myself not to just stay home. I did the arc trainer for 45 minutes and then I rode the bike for 10 minutes.  I worked my abs some and did a few weights on the muscles that were not so sore.

My knee and quad are still pretty sore but I decided to give running a try today. I was suprised that it was almost less painful running than it is walking. I had to really concentrate on my foot placement or I would get shooting pains up my leg but over all it was a good run. Slower than I like but I had a good distance for me.

I worked my legs and then I rode the bike for 15 minutes not as much weight as I have been, but I did not want to push to hard.

Good job. I can't believe you have 3 4yr olds. You are a busy mom! Guess you have to be a runner to keep up with them.

They are all 5 now. I guess I need to update! I think I run to keep my mind clear. I am a much better mom when I exercise.

I had a pretty good run considering I have not ran in a couple of weeks. 

I have been exercising everyday.  I started a fitness group in my ward and from the beginning , I said I was not going to teach and some how I am now teaching every M, W, F

and  then I go support the night group on w and thursday as well.  I must be getting a good workout because my run today felt pretty good and relaxed.

I made it to the gym today! I ran my 3 miles in 31 minutes, I ran anywhere from 5.0 to 7.5

Then I did some leg weights and then rode the bike. 

I have not been running as much so I could give my knee a rest but I have been doing aerobic's m-f everyday.

I had a really good run today. I ran my 3 miles under 30 minutes. Not sure exactly because I walked at first and I was not paying attention.  It was between 28 and 29 minutes.  

Then I worked my legs and abs. I am suprised how much stronger my abs are getting. 

I rode the bike for 15 minutes.

I am still doing aerobic's with strength training every day also.

I am still teaching an excercise group every other day and going to one 3 times a week on top of it. I also have been doing p90x dvd's. 

Wondering why I still look so dimply.  I am stronger than I have ever been.

Got up early and drug my neighbor out for her first run/walk.

Decided to go to the gym. I ran 3 miles on the tredmill 28 minutes and then I worked my legs and rode the bike for 20 minutes. I also have fitness group tonight! Maybe one day my legs will look better.

I was not feeling good at all today so this was a good workout considering I had to drag myself.   I ran until I was coughing and could not breath and then I rode the bike until my legs would not go any more. then I lifted some weights.

Tried running but my allergies were so bad I could not breath. I need to get my inhalor.  I have never had my chest get that tight before, it kind of scared me.

Ran running with angles 5k. 29:00 I was ticked because I was in the back of the crowd and I had a really hard time getting around everyone in the start. It probley would have taken a full minute off my time.

My goal was to beat last year and I did and I am uninjured and feel great.

I had alot of ankle pain again last night, so I took it easy today and then went to a specialist for my ankle issues.  never in a million years would have guess, because I have been running on it for a couple of months with this pain.  It is broke.   I was begining to think the pain was all in my head because I could see the swelling all the time.  I thought  break would have been alot more painful. Glad I got it checked out.

walked a very slow walk around the track, I went back to the doctor and he said my ankle was not healing and he put me in a boot. I am going to try very hard to still get out but I am going to colorado and there is no gym for me to go to and I am not sure what to expect.

Kind of a funny morning.  I woke up and went for a bike ride with my daughter.  We rode to the store and got some breakfast and then rode to a plant nursery. On the way home my pedal completely broke off my bike. I had a bridal shower I was going to be late for  so I  hid my bike in the bushes and decided to try running on my ankle and it was not to painful so I ran home. I paid later but it felt good to run again.

I have been feeling so crapy, pretty sure it is because I have not been doing as much. I woke up and the thought of putting that stupid boot back on my foot was not an option so i left it and went for a walk. My ankle and foot felt pretty stiff for the first mile and I thought I had made a huge mistake by not puting the boot on but things loosened up and felt pretty good. Just walked the track by my house.
