My best 5k is 29.27.  

Short-Term Running Goals:

Beat my best 5k time.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to stay fit. I have 6 kids and I want to be physically able to keep up with them. I would eventually like to run some longer races and maybe do a triathalon.

Personal:

I am very happily married, We have 6 children. 4 girls and then we adopted two boy's. They are 17mths, 4,4,4,7 and 11.

I went 4 miles on the bike and 1.80 on the arce trainer. I spent a half an hour working my legs and abs.

I went 5 miles on the bike, and 1.80 miles on the arc trainer on level 4 in 30 minutes.

I did 1.40 miles on the stair stepper in 20 minutes and .80 on the arc trainer in 20 minutes on level 5.  I only had 50 minutes at the gym today so I thought I made the most of my time.

I did 3 miles on the eliptical in 30 minutes today.

I also did 3 miles on the bike in 15 minutes.

I worked my legs and abs for 30 minutes.

I was going to run on the treadmill today that was my plan yesterday but I was way to sore.

I am going to try to walk my dog this evening and see how that goes.

I ran the first 3 miles in 33 min,

I ran the first two without stopping at all then I had to walk for a minute to catch my breath. If I would not have stopped to walk I think I would have ran it in 30 minutes.

Then I walked .30 to cool down and stretch.

I did my first mile and a half on the stair stepper because my shins were sore and that seems to stretch them or warm them up.

Then I went and did 30 reverse sit ups.

I ran the first three miles in 33.30 minutes then I walked to cool down.

I think I could have ran at least another mile with out stopping but my shins were starting to hurt.  

I went back and did 400 crunches on the ab machine and worked my arms a little bit.

After young womens tonight one of my girls asked me to go run/walk with her so we went to the park. we walked one lap then ran one. We did a total of 1.25 miles. It was past her bed time. But my shins were done for the day any ways.

I had shin splint pretty bad today so I ran my mile and decided it would be best if I let my shins rest before I can't walk. I ran my mile in 10.44 then I walked .25 on an incline of three.

I worked my abs, did a few leg weights then I did the arc trainer for 35 minutes. I had it on a level 5 which is weights ranging between 5 and 30 pds most of the work out it is on the 25 and 30. It kicked my butt. I am tired today.  I really had to push my self and talk my self through my workout today.

I did not work out today. I don't think I really have an excuse other than all my kids were out of school and I ran alot of erans. I had a cyst on my wrist that I had drained wednesday night and that was really sore and it was wrapped pretty tight I was thinking sweat and throbbing in the bandage and brace would really suck. beside I was so tired I could hardly stand it.

Somehow I mixed up my entries. This one is for thursday.

I did 1.25 miles on the arc trainer to warm up and stretch my shins a bit.

I ran my first three miles without stopping. 32 minutes.  My best time ever. I walked .25 to cool down and stretch.

I worked my abs and then rode the bike  2.15 miles in 10 min.

I feel pretty good.

Although I have been working out for about thrre straight weeks now and I have not lost any weight and I don't see a diffrence that is disapointing.

I did the stair climber for 15 minutes then I ran 2 miles. I worked my abs and legs as well.

Some how I mixed up my days on here so this is wednesdays workout.

I ran the first 3 miles in 32 minutes. I had to talk myself through it but over all it felt good.

I walked and streched for 10 minutes after my run on the treadmill then I stretched on the floor for a few minutes.

I went to church today and had a good break. I read my patriartical blessing and it said to always set my goals high and through faith and diligence I can acheive them.  It amazes me that I can read that at any random time in my life and I find something that applies to my life right now. It made me feel good anyways.

Our lesson in Miamaids was on health and fitness, go figure. I did not have to teach and was really enjoying the lesson until my baby got loud but I think I heard what I needed to hear.

It went over being fit and the benifits for our spirits.

I have a hard time with the eatting thing, and it talked about eatting fruits that are in season and meats sparingly things like that. I know these things but it is good to be reminded.

I warmed up on the arc trainer for about 8 minutes then I went and got on the treadmill.

I ran 4 miles in 41 minutes and a few seconds.  New record for me!

I am suprised how much my breathing has improved my shins were sore for a minute but it seemed to work its self out.  My upper legs were getting sore and my hips were hurting or I think I could have kept going.

After wards I worked my abs over really good and I did a few leg weights.

I am so sore today. I did the arc trainer for 30 minutes with alternating weights 5-30pds. That was 1.53 miles.

I tried running  but my legs did not want to run today, it hurt so I figured I better not push it or I would rip something.

So I went and worked my arms and abs.

Then I rode the bike on a light resistance for 15 minutes going 3 miles.

I did not sleep well at all last night. My husband has a cold and he sounded like a train all night. I finally went to the couch but I think that made me stiff.

I worked my abs.

Then I went 2 miles on the bike in 10 minutes.

I felt much better today. I slept pretty good for the most part. If I could just get the baby to sleep all night things would be much better.

I got up earlier today and thought I would try running outside. I looked out the window and said" um no it snowed." O, it was not snow it was the thick frost. I thought about my sad big dog that never gets out so I got ready and away we went.

All I can say is Burrrrrr!  I could not even run 1/2 mile with out being completely out of breath.  After about 5 minutes I shed my hoodie. I had knit gloves on and my hand felt sweaty but would have turned to ice if I took them off.  I think I need to get a head band that covers my ears and back of my neck because I got this head ache in the back of my ears that was like a brain freeze in the wrong spot.  So I went 1.5 in about 30 minutes.                     The dog had fun!

I did better at the gym. I ran 2 miles in 21 min's then i walked .50 at an incline of 7. So I was on the treadmill for a total of 30 minutes.

I worked my abs. Then I rode the bike for 35 minutes going 7.10 miles.

So I need to learn to run in diffrent elements next right!

My body felt so tired when I woke up today. I have some mild shin splints so I decided just on cross training because I knew tomarrow my only choice is to run for my workout.

I did 5 miles on the elliptical in 51:00. Since I was not running I tried to keep a pace of 10 minute miles. 

I went and worked my abs. I have been doing an average of 450 crunches everyday for the last 4 weeks. No change? Sucks.

I did a few arm weights and one set of leg weights.

Then I went and rode 2 miles on the bike for a total of 10 minutes.

I felt like it  was a good workout.

As much as I did not feel like it, I got up and ran 3 miles on my treadmill. My husband is on the hunt for a deer, so outside will have to wait.

I walked for a minute to catch my breath but still finished just under 33:00. 

I would have liked to run/walk for a full hour to get in a good workout but I had super saterday today and getting 7 kids ready to go somewhere takes a whole morning.

I passed on the pumkin pie and ice cream they served. Now that was strength!

I think I had a touch of the stomack flu yesterday and one of my twins had it so I took the day off. There is no way I would have been able to exercise.

I got a good nights rest and felt much better today.

I ran 4 miles in 42 min, then I worked my inner and outer thighs on weight machines.

Then I rode the bike for 30 minutes. I went 5.50 miles on the bike.

I feel like I had a good workout.

So I have had this rash on the whole bacl of my body for the last week. I have no idea what it is from. I have not changed anything other than my exercise. I washed my bedding with extra rinse to make sure there was no soap in it.  So Last night I was so itchy that I took 2 allergy pills. I think they kicked my butt.

I did not want to get up today and o my run sucked. It took me an hour to go 4.35 miles. I did keep the incline up when I had to walk, but my legs were so tired that I don't think it was physically possiable to do any better today. I did have to stop and run to the bathroom so that did shave time off.

I spent the last 30 min working my abs. (And laying on the bench.)

I think I may be getting a cold as well. I did stop at good earth on my way home and got a good vitamin and some cod oil.

I still have the hives really bad and i could not sleep or sit still last night so I had to take something again. I had a really hard time getting out of bed.

I still made it to my gym appointment. 

I ran the first 3 miles in 33 minutes then I walked for  .25 then I turned up the speed and ran .75 then I walked and streched for another.20. I finished in 46:00. I felt drained but by the time I had walked over and weighed myself and sat down to do my abs I was feeling much better. So I worked my abs then I rode the bike for 15 minutes going 2.80. Slower than usual, but good considering how tired I am.   

I drank my first teaspoon of cod liver oil today. My husband laughed at me because I gagged so bad. I thought it was comming right back up. So I hope that gets easier for me.

I spent my entire day serching foe a bigger vehicle. We had all 7 kids with us and one had the stomack flu. I think that counts as something (Cross training) Maybe just strengthening my mind.  
We came home with a 2003 yukon GMC. It will take some getting use to but I like it. It was a very draining day.

After that I had to go to the youth harvest social. I played marshmellow volly ball and danced with the kids. I attemted to play glow in the dark tag until the lights went out and I saw all the people with necklaces running straight for me. I threw my bracelet and ran to the stage. Not before I got shoved and yelled at that I was out. I was the only leader out there and figured they were out to kill me. It would be just my luck to sprain my ankle or something playing a silly game with the young women and men.

I did pass on the rootbeer floats and the other goodies they were passing out.

Although My lunch and dinner were quick fixes and I could have chose much better things to eat.

My lesson was on self Mastery today. I think I needed it more than the girls did.  There were so many good quotes.

One of my favorite one's was.

"The height of a man's success is gauged by his self -mastery; the depth of his failure by his self-abandonment.....He who cannot establish a dominion over himself will have no dominion over others. He who masters himself shall be king"

I also read this story about a girl who fell down and was crying and by the time her mother got to her she had stopped crying, and the mother asked why she stopped, the little girl said "I just told myself to stop and then I made myself mind me"

So I guess I need to liken myself to a child and mind myself.

I love that my last two lessons have helped me mentally prepare for my next week of reaching my goals.

I ran the first three miles then I walked for a few minutes and streched before I finished my last mile. My legs and knee's seemed stiff today.

I finished in 50 minutes. 

I spent the rest of my afternoon at my doctors appointment. She seems to think that my insulin is still wacky and says if they can get that all under control that I will be able to train much better. (Without feeling so drained all the time anyways.)

I have been taking my vitamins and oil every day and I think I might feel better.  My hives are finally leaving so I will be able to sleep now.

Today was a really bad day.

I was put on a new medication last night and I could not get up today.  My twins messed up so much in my body that I am still trying to fix. 

But also for some reason my knee's and shins hurt today more than any day since i have really started to run.  I more than likely would have ended up doing cross training today and weights.

When I got to the gym today they told me my pass was no longer good to bring my kids because my pass had been put into corporate computer as a regular pass. Then they said that my baby was sick so he had to leave.

So I left after .75 miles and totally mad.  So I was on the phone all day trying to fix my pass. They fixed it but because of the guy who signed me up and I had to take him down at another location. 

I had young women's tonight and then it was my husbands turn to go work out. I managed to get on the treadmill and only went.75 before the baby was awake and won't let me put him down. So here I sit. (NICE)!

I am hoping tomarrow is a much better day.

I ran 2 miles and considering my leg pain the last couple of days I did not want to push it so I went and worked my abs and lifted legs weights.

Then I rode 3 miles on the bike.

I also was thinking I am going to be doing alot of walking with my kids tonight.
